Heck I own two rifles and even though I doubt a child could even work the action much less do we get an influx of young kids around here I always keep my rifles locked and I never NEVER store my rifles loaded in fact we lock up our ammunition up too... I do somewhat question the guys stability and rights to own a firearm though leaving it unattended like that even if there wasn't a small child around... I mean burglary hello? We all know how pulp fiction went down... It bothers me to see the ignorance of parents nowdays. Kids are getting smarter at a younger age and are becoming able to figure shit out alot quicker. I think alot of parents are taking this for granted, and when they do, tragedy strikes. As here in this story. I agree with f0rkz... I don't thing this should be let go without some sort of punishment for the parents. Leaving a fucking loaded gun out is dangerous with kids around... and sometimes with adults.

Why don't they make it more difficult to buy the ammunition rather than the guns? Parents should sued and jailed for having the gun loaded if it wasn't than it would be nothing.

I have been told that some of the hey power guns can be $5 a shot if you buy them. It is a necessity at that point to make the ammo.
