Started work on it again, and hoping to have it done in time for the Mini-LAN.

Wait what? New thread? I can just clean the chatter out of the old one if you want. Unless you just wanted to start a new thread.

Are the cabinets themselves made of particle board? Hard to tell from the pictures.

They can be made of particle board, plywood or MDF. This one is particle board.

Ok, that side is painted! Just have to wait for it to dry for a day or so before starting to put the vinyl on.
A co-worker is sandblasting the speaker grilles, and I'll repaint those once I get them back.
Got a rebuild kit for the G07 monitor chassis that was dead, so I might install that later tonight or this weekend.

Front side is patched, filled, sanded and painted. Two sides are now ready for vinyl after the paint dries.
Coin door has been stripped and has had three coats of hammered finish paint and one coat (so far) of satin finish black. One more coat and it will be finished.
Only things left to do: Strip, patch and paint right side (which will be as easy as the left) Apply vinyl Repaint speaker grille once I get it back Cut out replacement monitor surround (got the matte board and cutter) Get replacement glass bezel from glass shop Replace defective opto board in one of the trackballs Apply side art Swap out marquee Put in Marble Madness cartridge
Just about done. If the weather stays warm over the next week it won't be any problem having it finished before the LAN.

Ok, vinyl is applied to the front door and the rest of the front panel. Yay and stuff.
Stripped the vinyl off the remaining side so the wood can be repaired. I'll attack it with Bondo tomorrow after work.
Ended up removing all the paint from the coin door. Just didn't turn out looking right at all. Going to try textured paint next.
