Yes I run Rapid Fire Cannon II. I was disruptor in beta and I gotta say I enjoy tetryon better myself. I run Photons myself, as their faster and reload faster as well, and with full tetryons I can come in do attack pattern alpha, beam overload, tachyon beam III emergency power to weapons, lay into them and fire my torps at the same time and even a cruisers shields peel right off, and the torps will flat out kill an escort and damn near kill a cruiser. I haven't touched the game in 2 weeks just because there is absolutely nothing to do in it now. We hit max level in the first 2 weeks and have had jack to do but PVP on klingon side to level which I can only take so much of honestly before it gets boring. Hell 40-45 had a few levels they didn't even give us quests or they just gave us 1 patrol quest or the like. So I found myself having to grind to 45 via explore areas a few times. And the 2 new fleet actions they put in never worked, one didn't work and they left it not working and a week later put in another that didn't work either. You can't even zone into them. And to make matters worse they're adding in death penalties now because of all the former Eve Online players and other assorted whiners. This was kind of a non MMO MMO if you follow me without the death penalty. I had patience for that when I was a teenager playing Everquest. I don't have patience for it now. If I mess up and die and have to spend what little time I have to game getting back what I lost I'd rather go play something else. =P I already decided since there is no content though I'm going to cancel my subscription, then come back in a few months when hopefully there will be something to do. The games fun long as you don't run out of content but when you do it's just a waste of money as there isn't crap to do really. =P It's also going to depend on what they do for the death penalty. If it's not too bad I might not mind it, but if you have to go to a starbase to get crew back or something like was discussed before or if you lose more then 10-15 minutes worth of exp, they can keep that boring time sync. It's a shame they've decided to focus on drastic game play changes like that instead of the biggest problem with this game which is lack of content. I wish they'd work on getting a lot more stuff to do into the game and THEN mess with stuff myself. Least give me something to do while you mess with stuff.

How is the game since people have had more time to play it? Worth buying?

No it isn't worth it right now. This is the kind of game that will be nice to play in a few months to a year. You run out of content so fast it's not even funny. Two weeks of playing 2-3 hours a day had me at max level, with absolutely nothing, and I do mean NOTHING to do. You basically just create another character or play klingons or something which right now level only through PVP. And PVP is more like small areas of space or on the ground, where everyone just clusterfunks and shoots at random people so it gets boring pretty quick. When/if they add in territory control or the like or the ability to assault stations, land and do battle with people on them it will be interesting but right now PvP is typically just a random mess.
In a few months when they add content (and I don't mean their content updates they release now where you finish what they put in in 30 minutes if your lucky enough to have what they put in actually work, and have jack to do again), where you can play for a few months and not run out of stuff to do it'll be fun. The ground combat is bleh, but a nice break from space combat I reckon. The space combat I found to be really fun though myself. What is in is fun, but there just isn't enough right now. Them charging 50$ to buy the box and 14.95$ with the amount of content they have in or lack thereof is just laughable. I canceled my account 2 weeks ago, and plan to go back later in the year when there is more to do myself. Just not going to pay them 14.95$ each month the whole year in the meantime for releasing with hardly anything to do 2 weeks in. I've never seen an MMO have so little content at release honestly. It's almost like a bad joke. =P

For the first time in my life, I know what it's like to be a non-gamer listening to someone talk about gaming specifics.
