Do you like talking with your fellow F7-ites in game? If so we have a few ways you can do this outside of game as well. Firstly, use the Steam Friends system. Add them in game so you can talk to them later. If you are not in game you can use our Steam Group list to find people.

Secondly, we have a Vent server. This is good for talking with multiple people at the same time in a voice format, like in game. Here is a guide to help you use vent.

F7Lans Alltalk
  • IP: alltalk.f7lans.com
  • port: 5010

Another great way to get in touch with us is our IRC. You can download mIRC or Firefox users can use chatzilla. This is a guide to use mIRC. I would recommend Chatzilla because it is free to use and you do not have to download any new programs. Our IRC is also one of the quickest ways get a hold of Founders, Admins, or Community Leads if there something is wrong with the servers.

How to connect to IRC using Chatzilla

Open Chatzilla in the Tools tab of Firefox
type
/server irc.gamesurge.net

After it connects type
/join #f7lans

After you connect right click the f7lans tab near the bottom of the interface and select "Open This Channel at Startup." Now you will not have to type when you start Chatzilla.

Want Voice or Ops? You will need to register a user with Gamesurge, which you can do by going to this page and signing up. Once you do that, you will need to authenticate with authserv every time you connect, or every 24 hours. Each chat client varies on how this is done, but generally you can just do:

Code:
/authserv auth (your username) (your password)

Using Chatzilla you can set this to be automatic as well by going to the preferences tab, and click the Gamesurge section to the left. Then go to the lists tab. Next add the above command to Auto-perform section.

If you actually want to be community oriented, the forums are way better than the steam group, irc, and vent combined. More stuff is announced and organized on the forums than anywhere else.

Also, why don't we have mumble yet?

The mumble information is not widely known. In fact I don't even know it. Can someone provide the information to me and I will edit this post?

I'll check it when I get home if no one posts before I do.

Clown, would you happen to know what the ip/port is for the mumble? Id like to use it.

EDIT: Sent you a PM about it, so just send me one whenever you get the chance. Thanks!
