At one point I really wanted to make a mod called "Forseen Consequences", where Gordon wasn't late to work and the antimass-spectrometer didn't malfunction and there wasn't a residence cascade, and you play as Gordon and go about your normal day at work doing normal science stuff (physics puzzles mostly) and at the end of the day you meet Barney and he buys you the beer and you play physics based drinking games.

Then it fades to cinematic and the Gman facepalms, and roll credits.

You might find this HL2 mod interesting. They plan to have at least a beta sometime in Q3 2010, if not a finished product.
